About

After graduating with my B.A. (2008) and M.A. (2011) from Valdosta State University, I began an eight-year teaching career during which I worked at technical colleges, community colleges, and universities. I’ve taught developmental writing, composition, literature, business writing, and humanities; served as an academic advisor and faculty advisor; and sat on enough committees to know that I dislike committees.

I moved back to my hometown of Columbus, Georgia in 2018 and decided at that time to pursue a career in writing, something I had long considered. It was then I started teaching myself SEO, marketing, and basic web design.

When I’m not working, I enjoy biking along the river, gaming (PC and PlayStation), and binging documentaries or period dramas with my three cats.
